About the Band
Moonlighting is a vocal Jazz, Blues and Standards ensemble performing original arrangements of classic tunes.  They cover material from the Great American Songbook, Jazz, Broadway and Modern classics.  This unique group began with vocalist Rob Schroeder and pianist Joe Burlison.  Marlies Fitch-Ledbetter joined the group on Valentines Day, 2013.  Guitarist David Meyer and Bassist Steve Donohue joined in 2007.  In 2010 Craig Hearn brought his Saxophone to the group.  Drummer Dan Burkeen began playing in 2013 and Ino Garcia also brought his 'Bone to the group in 2013.

Their music has cross generational appeal.  The entire cast lives in Montgomery County, just north of Houston, Texas.  The group just completed work in the studio on their debut CD "Moonlighting, An Evening With...".

Marlies Fitch-Ledbetter began her career as a professional vocalist at the age of eight, and has performed in major concert halls all over the world.  She studied Music and Vocal Arts at Baylor.  Marlies was part of the Miss America organization for seven years as a title holder, as well as being a finalist in both Miss Teen Texas and Miss Texas.  She continues to coach other girls and considers it a major part of her professional and non profit career.  An active free-lance studio recording artist, Marlies is also a songwriter and worship leader.  She plays several instruments, but piano is her favorite.  Her love is Blues, Jazz, Southern rock and Alternative music.  Marlies considers herself an emotional performer and always leave her heart on the stage.

Steve Donohue has been playing bass for over 30 years citing blues and rock since the 60s as a key influence. Retiring from a normal “day job” in 2008 allowed more time for music and “Moonlighting” provided a perfect outlet.  Steve also plays in several Christian Contemporary rock venues and with friends whenever the opportunity comes up.  An avid golfer, Steve lives with his family in the Lake Conroe area of Texas.

Craig Hearn brought his Sax to Moonlighting in 2010.  He is an extraordinary musician and a skillful soloist.  Craig is a lifelong player, and graduated with a music degree from The University of Texas, playing in the UT Jazz Band.  Find out more about Craig, and his life as a music evangelist, at
